Update on shipment of MACE 001

Hey friends,

I need to make an announcement regarding the shipment of MACE #001.

This is how my priority mail was treated. I had to pull out my angry eyes.

Don't panic.

The above picture is not your package. Except for the delivery above, every package was mailed according to the following specifications:

  • Media Mail
  • Extra sturdy cardboard envelope
  • Sealed plastic bag
  • Reinforced cardboard sheet
  • Two bright red DO NOT BEND stickers

I value your support and this product. I hope the packaging reflects that.

A note about Media Mail.

Media mail is not the quickest delivery, but it is the most cost effective. It also does not help that I live in Alaska. From my understanding, the post office accumulates media mail packages until they have enough to to justify shipment. I am new to all of this, so I am learning these things for the first time. Otherwise, I would have communicated them ahead of time.

So what happened to your mail?

About 40 percent of you have already received and are enjoying (hopefully) your zine. Those packages must have caught shipment at just the right time. The rest have been held up waiting for shipment. I am happy to report that they finally landed in the Seattle WA Distribution Center yesterday and have departed from there today. I don't know how long it takes from Seattle to your door, but I do know some are already out for delivery. If you have lost your tracking number email, feel free to reach out and I will get it for you.

What about the package pictured above?

I had one backer who I thought had picked up his copy at a convention I attended but I was mistaken. To make up for my mistake, I opted to pay over double the rate and send it via priority shipping. In their rush to ship it, I guess they forgot to prioritize it.

So, I hope this clarifies at least a few things. I also hope you really enjoy this zine when it gets to you.

Also, MACE #002 needs some love. If this is going to be a quarterly publication, I need to know there is enough interest. Right now, I don't know if it will fund and could use your help getting the word out.

Volume 2 is around the corner!

MACE, Volume TWO, goes live TOMORROW.

The plan is for MACE to be quarterly or triannual.  If you liked #001, and want to see more, please share this with your circle of influence. This issue will be full of villains, plus their motives, methods, and treasure.

MACE #001 is in the mail!

The exceptions are the handful of backers who never answered their Backerkit survey or resolved their shipping on Backerkit. 

Your digital PDF copies have been sent via DriveThruRPG. For those with stock art rewards, I am presently uploading those to my website and will get them to you next week at the latest.

This was a lot of work, some mistakes were made along the way, but I am proud of the result. I would like for MACE to be a quarterly, or at worst, triannual publication.

Would ya'll be ready for me to ramp up for issue #002?

Issue #002 would be villains and NPCs, because monsters aren't the only danger in the dungeon. Let me know your thoughts!
